    • The Great Flood of 1861
    • The First Hospital in Sacramento: Mater Misericordiae Hospital
    • Irish Dancing Lessons
    • Letter writing & Mail Service in the 1800's
    • The Sisters’ Dress (traditional habit)

    The public can learn about the present-day activities of the Sisters of Mercy to care for the elderly, the poor, the uneducated, the homeless, and the sick.

    Unique exhibit of historical items collected by and presented to the Sisters of Mercy in the Early Days of Sacramento, such as the never-before seen California Mission Tiles; John Sutter’s compass and a video of the Sisters contributions to Sacramento.
